SLEEP DISORDER -"AN EVIL"

SLEEP DISORDER -"AN EVIL"

Do you even have trouble or staying asleep? If so, you are in good company: Almost 40% of adults report that they sometimes have these problems-known, together, as Insomnia. Such problems seem to increase with age and are somewhat more common among women that men. While many people report Insomnia, however, it is not clear that the incidence of this problem is as high as there self-reports might suggest. According to W.C.fields ‘’ the best cure for Insomnia is to get a lot of sleep’’ When the sleep habits of people who claim to be suffering from Insomnia are carefully studied, it turns out that many of them sleep as long as people who do not complain of Insomnia. This doesn't mean that such persons are faking; rather, it is possible that although they attain an amount of sleep that falls within normal limits, this is not enough to meet their individual needs. Further; the quality of their sleep may be disturbed in ways not yet measured in research. Griff Niblack says ‘’if a man had as many ideas during the day as he does when he has Insomnia, he has make a fortune’’ Still, such arguments aside, it does appear that many people who believe that their sleep is somewhat in adequate may actually be getting a normal amount. On the other hand, Insomnia is quite real for many persons at least occasionally. The promises of advertisements, sleeping pills-prescription as well as non-prescription are not usually an effective sleep aid. According to Shannon ‘’A contagious disease often transmitted from babies to parents’’. They may induce sleep at first, but tolerance to them develops quickly so that larger and larger doses are needed. The result is drug dependency Insomnia caused by the side effects of ever larger does of sleeping medicines. Some drugs used for this purpose interfere with R.E.M sleep, and this can lead to other sleep disturbances. Although Insomnia is the most common sleep disorders, it is not the only one. Several, other disorders, some related to R.E.M sleep and some to some wave sleep exist. Let’s consider some in each category. Narcolepsy, Cataplexy, Somnambulism, Night terrors and Night masses.
. Madhavi S a psychologist said ‘’majority of patients I come across are sufferers of Insomnia which includes students because most of the students for preparation of exam they spend whole day to study also if they have habitual of drug addiction’’.How many cases in a month you are handling for this disorder she said ‘’Monthly am handing more than 10 cases some are quiet critical, we have to act like a mirror. Also, she suggest that ‘’for encountering this problem we have to read something pleasant or relaxing just before going to sleep. Arrange your schedule, so you go to sleep at the same time each night. Take a warm bath or have a massage before going to sleep. Avoid coffee/tea late in the day. Exercise every day, but not just before going to sleep. Don’t worry almost everyone experiences difficulties falling asleep sometimes so don’t be overly concerned unless the problem persists for more than a few days. In my present experience I have two friends who are suffering from Insomnia named Nirbhay Amresh ‘’ to past my sleeping time I watch T.V there is no any other alternatives and Puhole Cicilia “because of my this disorder I can’t fulfill my wishes

CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOU

Monday,
4 August, 2008 7:59 PM
No one can define love exactly, but our poets and writers have made an attempt, some say it is a positive emotion and some say it is an affirmation of love itself. Love is a fleeting feeling; it is a torture but a happy torture. It gets back your life as Savithri brought back Satyawan's life for the sake of love. Isn’t it great? The god of Love - cupid is showering gifts since the time of Adam in the form of love.Gautam Mathur,a system administrator age 30 conveys’ Love is a divine feeling and it makes us more responsible. Love is a beautiful fruit and we humans are the baskets. If you have feeling for someone, then do express them and let it take its own time to expand''. According to Arun, an Biotechnology student states, ''Love no more exists on the earth, people who fall in love are sick, they meet up in parks because they are stingy and may be they need privacy''.Love is affection, caring ,liking or whatever one might like to term it, everyone has his/her own opinion. According to a young couple falling in love is considered to be very sacred as it enhances their emotions and feeling. However a staunch love advocate Saurav dhar,50 years old retired aeronautic engineer says,’ As the world, people and environment have a changed a lot in terms of positive development, similarly love too has changed a lot, but alas, in a negative way. When our love was in its initial stage, our eyes played a major role as we gazed at each other for long hours. We ' write' love letters and poems to acknowledge each other even today''. Commenting further he adds, ''This is 21st generation very much influenced by the Great West. Everything happens so fast, they just say those three magical words but do not understand the emotions behind it. Expressing their emotions they SMS each other. Long walks have been replaced by long drives, we use to search for dark corners during our long walks for those stolen moments which were just so private, but today there is no more sense of consciousness and privacy''.

''ALL HAIL THE MULTIPLEX!!!''

Monday,
4 August, 2008 8:01 PM
No matter how many times a person sees this; he will not stop trying till he gets a chance to get into the glitzy, shiny auditorium of a multiplex in Bangalore. Priced over 150 bucks per ticket on weekends, PVR Cinemas with more than 11 auditoriums manage to win the hearts of busy Bangaloreans.Every time a multiplex creeps up, age-old local theaters break down like a pack of mounted cards. Why should this happen? Is it because of the unfair competition, or is there something else in the market play that is boosting these cinema revolutionaries to the highest clouds? Teja,an B.Ed student states, ''I enjoy a movie in a multiplex rather than a local theatre mainly because of its clean surroundings. I rather spend a 100 more for a multiplex experience instead of saving a few bucks and getting choked up in a suffocating filthy local theater'' But Sanjeev disagrees to this and utters, ''I live in Jayangar and the nearest multiplex is in Kormangala.I need to travel a long distance and spend more than 150 bucks instead of enjoying the movie in a local theater like Nanda,Plaza or Shanti.Unfortunately, these local theaters have shut down, thanks to these huge multiplex''.At the end of the day every show in multiplex remains houseful. A multiplex offers a great surround sound experience and places like ''Imax'' has the world's largest screens shooing the cinema feel to an all new level. It isn't over yet, just before people enter the attractive movie auditorium, a huge lobby awaits everyone with healthy food at so called reasonable prices. A sky high ticket price and good food in the interval is all that the present Bangalorens are looking for. Many blame about the 'multiplex' , but when it comes to facts and personal choices, the same auditorium saying, ''ALL HAIL THE MULTIPLEX!!!''

EFFECT OF HIKED FUEL PRICE

Thursday,
3 July, 2008 6:38 PM
The good years have gone. We are now moving into a new era – the energy age – when the availability of energy will determine not only which nation is prosperous but provide us all with a different way of life. First, let us look at energy, which in all societies mostly comes from fuel. Oil is now around $140 per barrel and is still rising. Optimists hope that speculation is creating the high oil price. Pessimists fear that we are running out of oil.
The truth is somewhere between the two. Speculators are causing price increases in oil, gas and coal; we have not yet run out but we are probably very close to a downward path for all these fuels, only a few years until there are less of these fuels left in the world than the amounts that we have already consumed. How it effect on people...
We visited some of the petrol pumps starting with Bharat petroleum.."suppliers are not at all punctual . they never come on time " said a worker at Bharat petroleum..Mr N.H.PYAR, a distribution officer in Tyagnagar.said,"now i have to think twice before taking my vehicle out.".Lingaraju, a medicine supplier in KIIMS hospital.said,"I makes a long to-do list before leaving ma home and try to complete most of them ."
At Indian oil, workers said.”The petrol stocks are provided to us on regular basis except petrol." They also told that Indian Oil Corporation has total control on selling oil from other company. The decision is made every fortnight regarding use of different brand oil.. Dr.Bishnu, a doctor kept silence when asked about the hiked prices but silence speaks louder then words sometimes. Mrs.Sukesh, sighed and said,” I live in a joint family and i am the only earring person and hiked oil prices have a very adverse effect on my money management."
Hindutan petroleum also lacked in supplies like other depots.Mr.Vinay , a scientist, said," No other way out . We are helpless."Mr Pravin kumar, a businessmen, said,” Earlier i used my own car but now i am forced to use carpools to travel with my family." Mr.Shukbir, a software engineer in H.P said," I used to travel by my own car earlier but now i am compelled to travel by company cab."
How to cope up with this problem? We all have to get accustomed using less energy. Efforts going into to energy efficiency will not be anywhere near enough. we need to get on with a greater take up of renewable. We will probably have energy rationing – petrol will be prohibitively expensive for most people driving today’s cars and we will only be able to afford the petrol for cars with very small engines. Luxury performance cars may well be taxed out of existence. We will share cars more especially for trips to those out of town shopping centre built miles from where we live. Flying will be at least as expensive as it was fifty years ago. Food will be as expensive as it was fifty years ago, in terms of our expenditure on food as a proportion of our income. Nations will large stocks of energy such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela will be extremely prosperous and nations without local energy, large stocks or an existing significant renewable energy infrastructure, such as the United Kingdom and the United States, will gradually descend into gentile poverty.
